Buckingham Pointe in Des Plaines offers two floor plans

Find luxury townhouses at Buckingham Pointe, a low-maintenance community in Des Plaines by Dearborn-Buckingham Group. The neighborhood is on Touhy Avenue, between Mannheim and River Roads, within minutes to downtown Des Plaines.

The community has been planned for 44 premium-quality townhouses with deluxe amenities. Prices start at $387,900 with a limited number of homes still available. Deliveries are scheduled for the end of the year.

The Dearborn-Buckingham Group has two floor plans available at Buckingham Pointe, both of which are smartly two-story designs sized at 1,800 and 1,900 square feet. The homes feature two or three bedrooms, convertible lofts, 2.5 baths, luxury master suites with walk-in closets and private baths, full basements, central air and two-car attached garage. Interior and end-unit homes are still available.

The "1800" plan has a two-story foyer that opens to a den that features French doors and a two-story great room and kitchen area. The kitchen and breakfast area are open to the great room. Other first-floor highlights are a powder room plus a combination laundry and mudroom that accesses the garage.

Upstairs, the plan features a bridge-style hallway over the foyer and great room. A front corner loft can be configured as a third bedroom and is adjacent to the second bedroom and full hall bath. The master suite includes a walk-in closet and a private bath with dual-bowl vanity, soaking tub and separate shower. This plan starts at $387,900.

The "1900" plan at Buckingham Pointe is an end-unit design that has a private covered side entrance. The two-story foyer features a guest closet and angled stairway that overlooks the two-story living room with a two-story bay window. There is also a formal dining room and family room open to the kitchen and breakfast area. The kitchen has a corner pantry and optional center island.

On the second floor, the 1900 plan has a center hallway open to the living room below. On one side is the secondary bedroom and loft space, the hall bath is next to the laundry center at the top of the stairs. The loft can be configured as a third bedroom.

The master suite has an optional tray ceiling, windows on two sides plus a walk-in closet. The master bath has a double-bowl vanity; walk-in shower; soaking tub and linen storage. This plan is priced from $407,900.

Buckingham Pointe features townhouses in clusters of four to six units each, with access-off both Touhy Avenue and Dale Street in Des Plaines. The townhouses showcase architectural details and single-family home touches. Items such as gable-end rooflines; brick on the first floor; decorative columns; shutters and bay windows reflect the Dearborn-Buckingham Group's experience as a semi-custom homebuilder.

Christopher Coleman, president of the Dearborn-Buckingham Group, says, "We have lots of nice features, such as 9-foot first-floor ceilings, two-story ceilings in select rooms and ceramic tile foyers that help set these townhouses apart."

Each townhouse at Buckingham Pointe also includes classic white painted colonist six panel doors and trim, wall-to-wall carpet and designer-selected light fixtures.

Buckingham Pointe is in Des Plaines on Touhy Avenue, near Mannheim and River Roads, at the corner of Dale Street and Touhy Avenue.

To visit take I-294 to Touhy Avenue, west to the corner of Dale Street in Des Plaines. The sales center is open from noon to 5pm. Friday to Tuesday; closed Wednesday and Thursday.
